Course Overview
Strength and Conditioning workout in a supportive and fun group environment? Yes please! This class is programmed to hit all areas of your body in a way that supports everyday movement patterns. If you are looking to feel stronger, have more energy and enjoy a class with like-minded people, this is for you!
As the name suggests – BYOK (Bring Your Own Kettlebell, or a dumbbell will work too). We will also use an external weight to add a bit more challenge. This is an optional extra, there is always an option for a bodyweight exercise too!
The class is suitable for all fitness levels as all the exercises can be scaled up or down based on individual fitness levels. Bring a water bottle, mat, kettlebell/dumbbell (if you have one) and a big smile with you!

Tutor profile – Mirva Walsh
With a strong background in dancing and fierce passion for anything to do with physical exercise, I have been teaching different types of dance and fitness classes for nearly two decades now. Dancing is where it all started back in the naughties when I fell in love with Brazilian dance styles and the journey has taken me from Finland to Brazil, India, and everywhere in between. Now settled in Ireland, I have been teaching Zumba since 2010, found a love for running, completed Pilates and Group Fitness Instructor training, and launched my coaching business SkandiFit. I am also a qualified Post Natal Exercise Specialist and I am passionate about spreading the information about safe return to exercise for new mammies.
My classes are all about having fun while getting fit and making a few friends while you’re at it! I love seeing my clients enjoying the activity in the classes while getting stronger by the week.
Qualifications:
- Personal Trainer – REPS Ireland EQF Level 4
- Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist – Core Exercise Solutions
- Group Fitness Instructor – American Council on Exercise
- Pilates Instructor – Stott Pilates
- National Qualification in Pre and Post Natal Exercise – National College of Exercise and Health Studies
- Zumba Fitness Instructor
