This module is designed to develop students’ knowledge of Spanish beyond an elementary level of competence. While the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing will be covered, there will be particular emphasis on improving oral and aural competence and extending vocabulary. The module will provide the opportunity to deepen awareness and understanding of Spanish society and culture. 

Cristina Arizaga Santalla is from Asturias, in the north of Spain, but living for the last 14 years here in Ireland.  Cristina also has an Honours Degree in Arts and a Higher Diploma in Education.  She has a diploma to teach Spanish as a foreign language from Instituto Cervantes. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, she has worked in universities, secondary schools and  Cervantes Institute, among other teaching institutions in Ireland and abroad. Teaching is her passion and her classes are interactive, and communicative, focusing on oral interaction and learning the language through Spanish, games and fun classes
